Coinbase, a big company where people buy and sell crypto, is adding a new way to trade right inside its phone app.
Right now, if you want certain brand-new coins, you usually have to go to special websites called decentralized exchanges (DEXs). On these, people trade directly with each other instead of through a company, and you don’t have to give your name or ID.
Soon, you’ll be able to get those same coins right in the Coinbase app—no extra websites needed.
They’re starting with coins made on Base (Coinbase’s own crypto network) and will add coins from Solana later. The only bummer? If you live in New York State, you can’t use this new feature yet.
Coinbase says Base gets more new coins every day than anywhere else, and this update means you can get those coins faster instead of waiting for a long “official” listing. For people who make new coins on Base, it means they can get them to buyers quickly through Coinbase.
